I entered this quilt in a new catorgy at the State Fair "Old quilts newly quilted", and won first award. The comments the judges wrote said, excellent quilting, great job on binding, and great choice on backing which I tried to find older looking muslin and i used a dirty looking thread, ha I was surprised to get The First Award Blue Ribbon . This quilt was hand piced and treadle pieced in the 1930's and it has some late 1800's fabrics in it as well. so I have two pics hope I can do this this time.

Congratulations. Great job.
I always get a fuzzy warm feeling when I see an old (or even a fairly-new) quilt that someone has repaired/finished. Thanks for sharing. ranger |
Congrats! Lovely quilt. It is so exciting to win. I won first place on an heirloom dress I made my little cousin and nearly burst when they called out my name.
Keep the ribbons coming. TENSI |
