Here is the king size quilt I have been working on for my son's buddy for his Bday. I do not have pics of it after it was clipped yet. Before you comment on it being country, just wanted to say this is what he ordered. ( I also love the country look) My son and his wife gave it to the friend on Wednesday. It is not quite wide enough so I will have to add another row. That is if I can get it back from him. My son and his wife stated that he loves it so much he does not want to give it back. I will be putting the extra row on the quilt sometime next week and making shams to match. I have decided that if I ever do another king size rag quilt it will not be for less than $300-$400. This was a lot of work.

quilt is laying on my bed

I actually did not tie the quilt. I cross hatched it then tied the buttons on in the middle. You just take the needle down (from top side so that tail is on top) through one hole of the button back up the other hole and down the first hole again and back up the second hole. Then you tie the thread twice. Just make sure your tails end up on the top.

Is it made with cotton or flannel? What did you back it and what batting did you use?
I really like it, you did a good job.

It is made with homespun. The batting is high loft poly/cotton. the backing is the same fabric as the front. I normally would not use the high loft batting in such a large quilt but this is what the customer wanted.
