Lily's Quilt ~ for a sweet Down's Syndrome baby
4 Attachment(s)
Sweet little Lily, born with Down's syndrome, needed a bright, highly textured quilt, and that is what she got.
I used texture-magic for the small "L", the rest of the letters are minkee. The dot for the "i" has a crinkly bow hiding under the stitching. If you look closely, there are little "Day of the Dead" skulls on some of the black and white print. Lily's parents are amazing in SO many ways, but rather than go on and on, I will just tell you that they run a YWAM (Youth With A Mission) base in Colorado where they equip young people for a snow-boarding ministry. This look does appeal to them and the young people they work with. |
Well, I like it! You did an excellent job! Lots of textures and sounds for little Lily

Lily will love it as much as her parents. Adorable. My neighbor just found out they're little boy has Down's. They are just excited about his arrival considering they were told they would never have children. They have decided to see what day he will be born and that Saint's day will be his namesake. Dad is hoping for Michael and would be proud to call him Jr.

That is an outrageously fabulous quilt!!!!!!

Cute quilt, but I'm wondering why you felt it necessary to point out the fact that it was made for a little girl with Downs Syndrome?
|
its really nice! i like the texure of the letters
|
Oh that is adorable. Sometimes you must do things to please the parents. They are the ones who will put the quilt out for baby to use. Very nice!! let's not be picky about too much information either.
