If it is bothering you....It looks close enough to the edge that you could hand stitch your quilt label over it? Or a heart....the fabrics are wonderful!...even the green triangle! :)

It looks cute, but not what you wanted. Can you cut close to the stitching with sharp scissors, the pull the theads out?

Been there done that only it was a Kwik Sew pattern envelope and the pattern was in it! I was using invisible thread which I now hate and was doing a lot of meandering. Boy what a mess! Count your blessings it could have been a much bigger piece of fabric. Nice quilt, for a special baby.

Don't feel alone. When I was taking Home Ec in 6th grade about 60 years ago, I sewed my poodle skirt right into my project. My next lesson was on frog sewing, "rip-it, rip-it, rip-it". It was a lesson that I have practiced many time since so now I rip-it very well. LOL and I'm glad you could laugh about your boo boo also.

I did that with a sweatshirt makeover, and I got a piece caught in the inside. I told everybody it was my "signature".

Don't rip out the stitching! Cut the green as close as possible to the stitching and with your seam ripper or a long pin, shred the green fabric and remove it. It works. I have to do it a lot!!!

Maybe somehow you could make a lable out of this. Or not. So sorry for the extra material that hopped on your quilt.
