That is one beautiful quilt!

Congratulations on a great first quilt top! As it is your first, I would suggest SITD ( stitch in the ditch) with a walking foot if you have one. Check the batt for the maximum distance for quilt lines and alternate straight lines up and down the quilt.

I teach all of my newbies the D9P as their 1st quilt and yours is one of the nicest. As far as quilting is concerned if you want to do FMQ try just a wavy straight line along some seams, if not just use a zig-zag or other fancy stitch. I do not recommend SID (Stitch in the ditch) for newbies as it is hell keeping the stitch in the ditch!

If this is an attempt I am waiting for the real thing because it is going to be awesome

Great job!!! Your quilt is beautiful. I seem to favor echo quilting. I think that's what I'd do. It will make you individual blocks pop!

Beautiful!! When I made my D9P, I was at a loss as to how to stitch it since I'm limited and only use SITD and cross-hatching. Couldn't decide, so I tried cross-hatching and it worked.
