Here is the first ever applique that I have done and it is on its way to canada. Binding sucks, but it is only my 3rd to do. Got to learn the tricks to binding.

That's really cute! I think your binding looks fine. There are some helpful tutorials out there you might want to check out. I like this one myself. I don't do the whole thing the way she does, but I do follow her tips for assembling the strips together, the corners and ending the binding.
