Here is the first ever applique that I have done and it is on its way to canada. Binding sucks, but it is only my 3rd to do. Got to learn the tricks to binding.

That's really cute! I think your binding looks fine. There are some helpful tutorials out there you might want to check out. I like this one myself. I don't do the whole thing the way she does, but I do follow her tips for assembling the strips together, the corners and ending the binding. Liz, it may just be easier to hand stitch the back binding on. It's the only piece of the quilt I do by hand. Even though I could do it with the machine, it's nice to have something done by hand;>

That is sooooo cute. I especially liked the cow! I added their site to my favorites. I have a nephew coming in May and need to get started on a quilt for him. I haven't done much applique, but may give one of those a try.
