This is my first time to post a picture. I made this blanket this weekend for DD whos little one is due in Sept. I used six inch squares of stars and hearts patterned flannel and no batting. It is small for a newborn. It was fast and fun to make. Now that I have a digital camera and hope I have this all figured out I will post more of my projects in the future.

Your blanket is so cute. I really like NOT using interfacing with my flannel blankets. Two layers of flannel is warm and pliable--soft and cuddly.

your baby blanket is lovely..wish i had seen yours before i started making mine...i will definitely make a raggedy blanket next as you have inspired me. Did you use the spring loaded scissors to cut your fringe as i have heard that normal scissors hurt your hands? I have been looking at some for a while and am saving my pennies (dollars!) for the fiskars ones as they are pretty expensive.

Thanks everyone! I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Now I'm working on a table runner made the same way. We'll seee..........

It is really beautiful! I can picture a little babe snuggled within. I want to make one too! Is your backing a white flannel as well?
