Should I include the grass border or leave it off? Or any other suggestio ns?

I love the grassy border. It adds to the nature element with the bunnies.

I know it's a bit late now :), but I might have put the grassy (lighter green) fabric on as the first border, then used the darker as the outer border.

I don't care for the lighter border on top of the darker one. I'd leave it as is.

Just my opinion, but I think multiple borders look better if they are not the same size. The grass border might look really good if the dark green border was smaller (1/3 to 1/2 the size of the grass border). Think of the border as a mat on a picture. You know how they use a small dark inner mat before adding a larger, lighter colored mat? So, if it were mine, I'd lay the grass border over the dark border leaving just a small amount of dark green showing (2" maybe?) and see if you like it. If so, then trim the dark border and add the grass border. If not, I'd leave it off. But thats just me! :D

How about this? I have no problems ripping and re-doing or cutting down. I think this does look better.

I really think it looks great with the smaller dark border. If you don't want to cut that off, I would not use the outer lighter border.
Beautiful quilt all around. |
I like it with the smaller dark border as well. I like to do that on my quilts, use a smaller inner border and then a wider outer, kinda gives it a frames look.
|
I didn't like the grass border with the wider dark green but the way you have it laid out now, with the smaller dark green then the wider grass border looks fantastic! Very cute quilt!
