Your nine patch is great! You are well on your way!!!!

I don't know if anyone has mentoned it but in block of the month I think it is a lady named Shelly has given a couple to lessons for different blocks. Great instrucions easy to follow!

I have lots of Wal-Mart fabric. That was the only place we had for years in the town I am in to get fabric without going an hour down the road. So my stash is built with their fabric. The only one that knows will be you! The person you give the quilt to will be so excited they wont care. I have seen some of the stash I have in very expensive quilt shops.

I have the brother 6000. I love it. It is easy to sew on and does a great job.

I did buy me a BROTHER computerized sewing machine there that only lasted 3 yrs. The guy at Viking had a hard time fixing it. He said everything was bolted to Plastic. Now whether thats true or not, I don't know. But I sure loved that machine. I thought of buying another, but may a Kenmore from Sears will be better.? Sears also carries the Brother I got at WalMart. Heres a pic.... What do you all think? BROTHER OR KENMORE?

I have two Brothers. One of them ( the cheaper one) I have put through the mill. When ever I have something that is going to be rough to sew I use it and it is a wonder machine. Never have had any problems with either of them. I also have a Kenmore older machine. I bought it used because it has a larger neck area for quilting. Again great machine. So it is a hard choice but I swear by Brother. I also have a Brother serger. So actually that is three Brother machines and never have had a problem with any of them. Maybe I should knock on wood, :-o but I do think they are great machines :!: :D

My Machine is a Brother CS6000. It might be the same one I don't know. I do know it has computerized on it.
It is a cheepie I got at "Wal-Mart" when my other machine was confiscated by my daughter.

I wanted so bad to buy another Brother, this time from Sears, But Hubby said no. He was afraid I'd have the same problem as the one that just broke.

That's it. Does it look like this? (pic) I too got mine at Walmart, but when I took it to Viking to get it fixed. (top thread wouldn't pick up bobbin thread) He said it was a piece of crap  And it has a plastic body that everything is bolted to. Also whenever it gets warm it goes out of shape. It was out of time ...bobbin..... But when I got it home it worked fine. The second day of use it started clicking real bad. Like the needle was hitting something. I called him, he said he could try to realign it again, but he can't promise anything. It worked fine for 3 yrs of solid use.. I don't get it

Well that is not either of the Brothers I have and definitly not a serger. I have the Disney Embroidery, the other is under my table in a case so I don't want to pull it out, but I think it is a 270S or D something like that. They both have the thread cassette that you put your thread in and insert in top and it automatically threads the needle. So easy. Oh, and I could hear my DH telling me what machine to get. I would tell him when he starts using it to sew he can decide which one to buy, I don't tell him which tools (well sometimes I check prices) to get! :D
