made a queen size quilt top using country patchwork pieces pattern#209 attic windows..i see that i have made a few oop''s on the way.. like puckers is there anything i can do to fix it or does it look ok.. have not quilted it yet.but will be doing so in the next few day thank you for all your help

Have you ironed the quilt yet? You should try to get it as flat as possible. As the quilting will only enhance any puckers.

I'd try Mary Ellens Best and try to press out any puckers as best I could. But unless you plan on entering it in a contest, quilt it and enjoy it. Pretty big project for a newbie---congratulations. My first one was a doll quilt.

Do free motion quilting, wash and dry it and I bet you won't even notice them. FMQ gives a puckery look to smooth quilts. Make big fmq. It will look great!!!

what puckers?! lol! like everyone else said..press it with starch. (don't try to "iron" it,back and forth,it will make it worse)
it is beautiful and a heck of a first quilt..mine was a rag quilt...after i knocked out about 10 of them, i came out of the box, and started piecing! You go girl! |
