An old idea, revisited and a Judy Niemeyer DWR

In the 1980's quilt motifs especially applique were put in quilting hoops and used as wall decorations. I am part of a "School House" at ThimbleNThread in July. Five clerks and teachers give a small mini class. I am going to delve into stencils and using them. I wanted a way to show samples and remembered the hoops. They are still available.
The Judy Niemeyer DWR is made by a friend and I had the privilege of quilting it. It was a challenge with those curved edges but all is flat. |
