An old idea, revisited and a Judy Niemeyer DWR

In the 1980's quilt motifs especially applique were put in quilting hoops and used as wall decorations. I am part of a "School House" at ThimbleNThread in July. Five clerks and teachers give a small mini class. I am going to delve into stencils and using them. I wanted a way to show samples and remembered the hoops. They are still available.

The Judy Niemeyer DWR is made by a friend and I had the privilege of quilting it. It was a challenge with those curved edges but all is flat.

You both did a wonderful job, I love e colors she used, and I love your quilting. I tried making a double wedding ring quilt, but never finished it. I couldn't get the football to lay flat on one end, so it is in a closet until I feel like messing with it again. Thank you for sharing with all of us.
