This quilt is the reason I had to take a break from the site for a little while. The top had been done for quite awhile and I kept telling my son I'd get to it, but the task seemed so daunting that I kept putting it off. I finally PROMISED him that I would start on it right after Christmas, and you know you can't break a promise to one of your kids :P
He's 6'1" and you can't see him in the pic, so you can tell how huge it is. I think it finished at 94"x94". He wanted me to make him a quilt using all civil war repros, but I cheated and used a Moda for the background, so wound up naming this quilt "Civil Disobedience" LOL |
Why is it I can NEVER get my pics in the right order? LOL

all I can say is WOW
wonderful job I bet your son loves it |
That is so awesome!
Do you quilt that or send it out? |
I did the quilting. That's the part that took me so long that I had to take a break from here to get it all done. I'm the slowest quilter on the planet. LOL

Kathy, I have Juki TL-98 Q machine. It's been such a wonderful machine. It has an 8½"x5 3/4" throat area, so a lot will fit into that space. I did this one on the diagonal and managed to get a little over half in there with no trouble. |
