In January, I posted about a fantastic lot of fabric I got at a thrift store, including over 40 FQ. Fifteen of them were coordinating Moda marbles line, shown below. Here is the quilt I made from them, added a beautiful batik border I got at Brubakers fabric store when I was in Lancaster for AQS show in March. The pattern is called Portugese Tiles from a book I found at the library called Phenomenal Fat Quarter Quilts.
The last picture shows the doll quilt I made for this month's Doll quilt swap- a miniature version from the scraps! Moda Marbles fat quarters Portugese Tiles quilt Doll quilt |

That looks great!

Very nice quilts. I've found some real good deals on material at Thrift Shops,.... my favorite place to shop. I've found new tablecloth's and drape's that made good sewing.

Love the pattern and choice of fabric.

I keep reading about those fantastic fabric finds like yours. All I ever find is "junk". Any suggestions about finding the shops that most often have fabric. The combinations are beautiful. Work is very good quality.

Very very nice. Love the colors.

Great Job  Don't you love it when you find good deals and can make them work so well together

Wow-that's beautiful. I love your choice of fabrics. That's a really neat pattern to show off the colors.
