Jeanne (#2329), thanks for the mile a minute info--I love making string quilts, so I think I'd enjoy these, too. I love putting things together that shouldn't "go" and finding that they do! :)
Teddy bear Lady (#2330), I'm with you! When you do get through all the posts, you can do as I do--just start again. :) |

I posted those pics of the mile a minute quilts and this was the first chance I've had to go thru this thread again. Did you find anything on the mile a minute? My friend got the pattern instructions some years ago and we have, between the 2 of us, made about a dozen of these quilts. They are addictive and easy. It's just strips and bits, as the pattern calls them. You sew the bits onto the strips, cut them apart and they are called twoies, then you take them and sew them onto strips, cut them apart and they are called threeies, and it goes on and on. I try not to make the sheets of material too large, but big enough to cut 8.5" blocks out of them. But you can make your blocks any size, I choose 8.5" Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.

So glad this post is still running. I love scrappy quilts. I haven't made it all the way through yet, but who cares. It's so much fun looking at all the quilts. Gets my creative juices flowing.
