I will try to post a couple of the pics again.

Wow, I love the effect of that second quilt. What is the pattern called? It almost looks like a log cabin.

(the first one is nice, too)

sewweary 12-19-2009 02:29 PM

The name of the quilt is Blue Betty from a pattern in Quiters world magazine.

sewweary 12-19-2009 02:32 PM

The first one is hunter star/broken arrow. Was to be paper pieced. I made one paper pieced block then figured the sizes and strip cut the rest. The one paper pieced block is included in the quilt.

I love love love the second one!
The hunter's star is on my soon to do list... It's a project I have lined up for my best friend, who's learing to sew.

Beautiful and bold.

I love Blue Betty and also love Quilter's World magazine. I have found so many patterns there. In fact, my current project "Daisy Delight" is out of one of their issues. I'm downloading the April, 2009, issue as I write this, which is where Blue Betty can be found.

deedles215 12-22-2009 09:45 AM

Both are beautiful! I'm jealous.... hehe! ;)
