I saw a quilt done with 4" embroidered block then you sew the blocks together . The thing is part of the design is on one block and part on another.
I desided before I spend the money for the pattern I wanted to try something smaller on the same princeple. I found this cute hummingbird and did it last night. It is a bit of a challenge to get them to line up but it was worth it. |
I like it. I like it. You go for it.

Wow, that is really cool. You did an excellent job lining up the blocks. Maybe someday I'll try that. Keep up the good work.

I love it. Ok dumb question here as I know NOTHING about Em. Machines.... Can't you do your 4 patch, THEN sew on the picture? Will it not look right?

No you have to embroider each block seperately then sew them togather.
I did get the pattern and they make it easier then this one was. When you embroider the pattern it also embroiders a seamline just match them and sew on it. This is a picture of the two I want to do it will take some time but they are so pretty this is called Sweet Pea this is called Parasol |
OMG these are beautiful -- where did you find the designs??????????
|
Your hummingbird sample is every bit as lovely as either of those patterns! Of the two patterns, the sweet pea is my favourite, neat idea for those with machines.

Amazing :D
