Finished tonight! Man, borders always take more time than I expect! It's 9:50 and the backing fabric is now going into the dryer. Just in case my quilter could see us tomorrow, I want to be ready. I'm taking the Kayaking on the Lake top to her too and since that's my daughter's and she's home one more day--she could go tomorrow to talk to Jill about the quilting.
Anyway... here it is. I wanted a lap quilt, but it ended up 60 x 80. That's okay. This one's a keeper. :-D I love love love the fabrics and colors in here. Photos are showing a bit darker than it truly is. It's so calming and comforting. My daughter was with me when I picked the back. She said "I never thought you'd pick that, Mom!" But, it fit--delicate and calming. There are many squares left to make two baby quilts to sell. Wellll, I may keep one for a grandbaby--whenever one shows up. the back |
