I made a sample quilt to test how hard a pattern that combines paper piecing and curved seams woud be to make. It will be a bit tedious to make 36 blocks (1/4 circle each), and the color scheme will be different, but I think the result will be worth the effort. Any ideas for a clever name for my sample?

Mixed emotions? I love the fabric you used too. Can't wait to see the "real thing". What technique of paper piecing did you use for the curves?

No, but the tight ziz-zag stitching around the green ring makes it pop out.

Just the purple & print triangle semi-circle section is paper pieced. Then I attached that, using regular piecing, to an inside curved print and an outside curved green section.
