Put this wall hanging together with wool from thrift shops! Had fun looking for wool and felting it. It's definitely the way to go to get a good wool stash.

oh i LOVE!!! your wall hanging---
i love love love working with wools and you are right the thrift stores are the place to get your stock! when it is running anywhere between $20 & $60 a yard on the bolt! i have 2 good sized totes full of (recycled) wools- some overdyed- some left natural- all wonderful!
the blocks kind of resemble the Sue Garmen bom they did on the quilt show a couple years ago---is it by chance one of her patterns? i know hers was done with needle turn applique- but i always thought they would be wonderful in wools! if that is one of the patterns you used it does let me know i was right---fabulous in wool!
great job!!!

simple----put in washer with hot water- small amount of detergent---use a regular or heavy cycle---agitate well- i usually reset the cycle 2 or 3 times before letting it spin out-
then rinse in cold- toss into a hot dryer---when it comes out it is ready to cut up & use how ever you want- with no raveling edges...
