Attached is a photo of some fabric that I'm thinking of making into a D9P for a baby. Blocks will originally be cut at 4"sq.

What do you think?? Is the tan too brown? Too boring? (The baby will be a little boy....)

Love the tan! It flows with the baseball color.

I like the tan, too. I think it will keep the other colors from blending into each other.

I have to agree - the tan works

I think the tan is just the right color!

Seems like the tan kind of balances everything together. I have to say I like it.

the other fabrics will be great for a little boy. oh boy, more pictures :P

Yep! I like that tan .... now, I have a question (not having read all the previous responses, so apologies in advance if I am duplicating someone else's question)
When you are making the beginning nine patch, is it going to matter where the tan shows up? I mean can you put it in the corners and center all of the time, or does it look different if you always put the tan in the noon, three, six, and nine positions?

Good question. I'd like to know too.

See and I am not fond of the tan but don't put tan in a lot of what i do, I would probably find a green to match the diamonds. Or i would do two different blocks, i would put a blue with the red and a red with the blue. But that is just me.
