Yesterday was our Make a Blanket Day for the Philadelphia Chapter of Project Linus.

I coordinate the chapter's quilt drive for Camp Erin every year.

We collected a bunch of great quilts yesterday. I sewed the Project Linus labels on all of them and took a photo before packing them away. So cool. Quilters rock!

The Moyer Foundation runs many Camp Erin programs in 25 states. Camp Erin is a camp for grieving children, where they can go and be with other kids in the same situation, having lost a loved one.

They have fun, get away for a long weekend, and learn coping skills. Camp Erin is free to every child. Here is the information, in case you know of anyone who has a child or grandchild or neighbor's child who has lost a parent or a sibling. It is a wonderful program.

Great quilts. Our Project Linus chapter is having our MABD next Saturday. I only hope to collect as many as you did. One of my blanketeers is from Massachusettes and still makes blankets and sends to Camp Erin.

Camp erin quilts are most generally 60x72 or there abouts. I am sure stitchnjoy will chime in and tell you if I am wrong.

Those are some cute quilts! I only wish I would have known of such a program 16 years ago when I lost my son. He was 8 and his big sister was 12 and now suffers from issues due to death. What a great program!
