I'm really on a roll today. I'd say "Somebody stop me!", but please don't. I'm getting so many things done that I've been wanting to do for way too long. Maybe it's the sunshine, I don't know. Whatever it is, I'm happy to feel like I'm finally moving forward.

I've been wanting a big board now for a very long time. In fact, I've had the board cut since we were building our house, and we're not in it 9 months. Can't believe hubby didn't throw it away on me!

Anyway, instead of using an ironing board, I wanted to use my table to press. So what I did was made it the 'normal' way (layers of batting & cotton duck), but then after putting the board on top I laid a layer of felt so it wouldn't scratch my table. It's like one big padded board, and now I'm able to slip it behind my newly-hung quilt out-of-sight when not in use, and don't have to worry about scratching my wall or floor.

Hope you are all having a great day. :)

Quilters are creators as well as inventors as we know what will work for us.

So the felt keeps it from sliding? Or is it that it's heavy and doesn't slide around. Looks great!! The quilt is beautiful too!!

Particle board is REALLY heavy, so there's no problem with sliding, PLUS we're supposed to "press" and not "iron", right? ;)

Sorry to hear about the snow. We've got sunshine here, but really cold (highs in the 20s today). Bring on the spring!!
