Default "Quilt" my 7 yr old granddaughter designed

My 7 yr old granddaughter came over on Sunday and gave me this. She had made it in school before the break and wanted me to have it. It's pretty wrinkled right now but beautiful to me. I'm going to have it framed and also try to recreate it in fabric. I'll have her help me pick out similar fabrics and help me make it. Her 1st quilt pattern!

You should be very proud of her. My Grandmother showed me how to sew not quilt. Years after her death, her half sister got me into quilting.

Yes Ruth it is made out of paper. There was too much going on when she gave it to me but I plan to get the whole story from her and write it out to go with this and the quilt we make to go with it.

What a sweetheart! And I think it's a great idea to re-create it in fabric - maybe she can help you choose just the right fabrics - what a fun GM/GD project!
