What a wonderful quilt. He will love it all the more since he got to select the fabrics (and pay for them). I just had this conversation with m sis. I made quilts for all her grandchildren (free) and then she asked for another for a friend. When I said there would be a charge she could not understand why since I had the fabric and time. She understands more clearly now..

Great job on the quilt! I am sure he will take good care of it and treasure it for years.
There is nothing like having to pay the price for all that fabric, batting, thread and quilting to open the eyes of a non-quilter just what these quilts cost. Not to mention driving to the stores (gas), pattern, time, electricity and needles ... LOL.
