I love the one with the new sashing. Very creative and the new sashing sure makes the nice blocks "pop"

Your thinking was so spot on. Those blocks look adorable now and your border sets the whole quilt.

What a difference. The new sashing and borders just brightens up the embroidery blocks.

When I saw the words "Before" and "After", I looked back at the Before picture and thought "Oh yes, the snowmen are on there too. I really hadn't seen the snowmen at first glance. Your new sashing and border are really much better than the first one. They bring out the snowmen.

Did you get the extra 3 blocks with the original top? Or did you need to embroider more blocks to increase the top to the new rectangle size?
My goodness! Those tulips must be cold!

Givio, no extra blocks. They were all in the original pieced top. I was thinking as I was sewing it together the same thing. I don't think the flowers would be growing in all that snow LOL. But then I have only seen snow as a toddler and I don't remember it at all. Now in my 60's.
