    Today I finished making this copy of the baby quilt my GGM made for me when I was born. It's a simple 4 patch that I made using modern fabrics (because that's what I had) and machine (Tin Lizzie) quilting. My GGM hand quilted the original in 1948, fabrics were scraps from her print dresses. The colors in my old quilt have faded with time, they were bright when I was young. I think my GGM would have used all the new techniques and tools if they had been available to her. She is the reason I quilt.

    What a sweet thing you did to honor your GGM. And I love the yellow. Very nice work.
