    Default "Quilted chair"

DGD didn't want this little chair. I've always wanted to do something patchwork on a piece of furniture. Saw one several years ago in similar style. So, I took the plunge recently. They are raw edge pieces of fabric glued on with Elmer's Glue (or you could use Mod Podge). I painted a clear semi-gloss polyurethane finish on it.....got it at Wal-mart. If you want to do one, I'd advise to get a chair that doesn't have all these openings.....be on look out for just regular student's dorm chair, etc. The curves and openings were kind of hard. But, I'm proud of how it turned out. It's in my sunroom, and it's my statement, "I AM A Quilter." :-)) The last picture is the back. I did cover the entire chair except an area of about 8 inch square right under the seat....can't see it when sitting even with it.
