Rag Quilt for MIL
#15
Thank you all for the encouragement. Like I said this is the easiest quilt I have made so far. I have the fabric already bought to make two more but I'm going to buy some of those Faskars before I cut them.

i got a pair of these scissors at wmart. they really save your hands and are super sharp at the tip. very much worth the price. don't know if i'd make a rag quilt with all the snip, snip, snip, without them.
beautiful quilt. i'm doing a few for xmas also. i made a flannel for myself, and it is the fav. of all the kids and grownups too;)

NIce work! I haven't finished my first one, but I have started it!!
I also have the Fiskars scissors. I got mine on sale at WM. I saw a pack of 2 for the price of one in a pricey quilt shop after that...it was almost as cheap to buy them individually at WM.
Just be careful working with those scissors. Mine are so sharp at the tip, and I've ran them into my finger!! They'd make a good weapon, as well.

Thank you all for the kind comments. No the fabric that I used is cotton. I did use flannel in the center. I cut all of my squares the same size 7 inch and used a 1/2 inch seam. I have made three others since this one and need to make at least two more before Christmas. I did buy the fiskars rag scissors and they have been a life saver.
