rag quilt--NY Yankees, Christmas present, not finished
#1
Hi!
I am making a Yankees quilt for my husband for Christmas. I have no hope of finishing it before Friday, but am giving it to him anyway.
both sides are flannel and I put batting in the middle. The emblems are fleece. The "man cave" where he watches TV is cold in the winter time. I obviously haven't washed it yet, so it hasn't frayed.
I cut the squares with my die cut machine, but I had to do the Yankee emblem with freezer paper. Accucut wanted $140 for a custom cut Yankee emblem. After cutting out 120 of them, I wish I had taken them up on it!!! the emblems are hand appliqued.
When finished it will be 10 squares X 12 squares.

Wow, Rose!!! That's a lot of NY emblems to be hand appliqueing!!!!
My husband would say "EWWWW....." He's a devoted Boston Red Sox fan, and is not fond of the Yankees!!!
