The Red Knight has been Quilted
#1
So some of you may remember my excitement a few weeks ago when the makers of the video game 'Castle Crashers' gave me permission to make wall hangings with their characters on them (for my little brother and two little sisters, but not to sell).
Well, I just finished quilting the first one today. I'm trying to finish all three as soon as possible so I can mail them out for the kids' birthdays.
Here's a few pics - one of the character itself, one of the quilted front and one of the quilted back (I really liked the back!).
This was my first experience with applique (for the eyes) and I found it very fun, though I still have lots to learn. It's hard to see it on these pics, but I did the quilting with a dark red thread on the black borders.

You can see the quilting designs better on the back
