This is great, and a great idea! I have been trying to find a solution to worn areas on a quilt my grandmother made for my first son (now 33), to have when he has a child. He dragged it around quite a bit, but this lets me do a repair without changing the quilt dramatically. Thank you!!

Great repair job..I use all of my quilts, too. My kid made forts and now my grandkids make forts with quilts and cardtables...such fun and lots of memories...I did the same at my grandmother's house when I was a child. Some things never seem to grow old.

What a neat idea for repairing a quilt. I gave my son and daughter-in-law a quilt and they let the dog sleep on it and of course she tried to make a nest and ended tearing it in several paces. Think I now have a solution for repair. Thanks again for the idea for repair.

I have used appliqué bits n pieces, or specially placed labels to repair or cover some nasty errors on quilts before. but I must admit that at first I just wanted to use an odd Sunbonnet Sue that I had made to show the method to my Patchwork Class but I am really chuffed with the result and I will be adding more Sue's wandering through her garden as and when needed.
