Default Santa is ready!!

We lost my 97 year old MIL this year. I wanted to host the Christmas party for the family to be able to celebrate her life in a memorable way. This Santa pp pattern was posted on the QB (I can't remember the member's name ) I do know that she started the wheels turning for me. A big thank you and I hope you see this to know what a wonderful thing you have done for our family! I changed the pattern a little and made a few adaptions ~ a dimensional mustache and larger face with eyes and nose. My mil prayer card had the prayer called "Safely Home". I wrote on the back of each ornament "Safely Home 2012". Thirteen homes with the ornament hung on the tree to remember this wonderful women! The party was this past Saturday ~ it warmed my heart with the holiday spirit. Merry Christmas to all!!

I also loved this pattern and it was CountryHouseQuilter who posted it. Here is the link to the printable pattern that was posted by that board member: http://www.quiltingboard.com/blogs/s...nt-b10554.html I made one for my ornament exchange group this year and thought it turned out great. I think I forgot to sew about the beard/face though because I decided at the last minute to participate in the exchange. Oops! It still looked great although I used a permanent marker to do the eyes and a colored pencil to rosy up the cheeks.
