I am trying to get my scraps used up, they are getting a tad bit overwhelming... LOL
Here is one top ready for quilting. It's called Strip Twist and the pattern is from quiltville.com. It was a fun one to put together. :)

That's pretty cool. I haven't heard of that link you mentioned either.
I knew I'd like it here seeing all your beautiful works and picking up on other places I didn't know about.
That pattern made me blink at first. It's a really cool illusion. Very nice way to use up those great autumn fabs!

The colours are lovely, I do like Autumn shades. How big is the quilt Shadow ? I am looking for a pattern for a lap quilt for a friends 60th birthday, its not till later in the year so I will have plenty of time to complete it, but I keep changing my mind on which pattern to do, I dont want anything too complicated in case I get bored with it or make a mistake, I do like making scrap quilts and have made one off that site before so this one maybe the one.

I just went to her site and LOVE all the stuff she's done. How in the world can someone make so many quilts?
My favorites were the Hidden Pinwheels, Hidden Spools, Jared Takes a Wife and the String Quilting Primer.
But, this is the AWESOME of AWESOME at her site:

It's in her projects in progress or standstill links.
I would attempt that, but think I would get bored with it half way through.

Katherine, the blocks are 14 1/2 inches approximately, and the pattern called for 12 blocks for a lap quilt, 2 inch (finished 1 1/2 inch) inner border and a 5 inch (finished 4 1/2 inch) outer border.
I didn't have enough of those particular scraps to make 12 blocks, so mine is 9 blocks with the same borders as the pattern calls for.
Thank you for the lovely compliments. :) I'm on to the next scrap busting quilt tomorrow.... :)

Thanks Shadow, I have done the string quilting primer pattern on her site which was easy but very effective, I used a bright blue through the centre to pull all the pattern together, which one have you got your eye on to do next?
