My theory is that scraps breed in dark places, like the scrap bag/drawer.

Thanks, Weasier22, that is a good idea to do it that way. Sometimes my scrap colors just don't look good when I just pick them out randomly. I will try your way.

Well, I just finished a Bonnie Hunter Spider Web quilt. I too, thought I would use up my strings. Well - no! I got so sick of using strings. My string box never got smaller. I finally put everything in a computer paper box and gave them to my friend.

Keep up the good work on your scrap pile. That is also my summer project to use up scraps. When I left home 11 days ago for a holiday with the DH I was at 6 good sized quilts and was down to a king size batting bag stuffed with smaller pieces to do a QAYG log cabin. I have another Hefty trash bag with strips I am sick to death of that I will give to my scrappy sisters at a guild meeting.
