Shannon is my granddaughter, she is 10 years old. She has been sewing for a year now. She loves to sew straight lines of the decorative stitches.
I digitized the designs about 5 years ago and they have just been sitting in my stash.
Shannon's friend, Angel who will be 10 tomorrow, came over and loved the designs. She was trying to help Shannon with the sewing by cutting the threads when Shannon sewed two blocks together. Angel was gushing about never having a quilt of her own, so later Shannon said she would give the quilt to Angel tomorrow for her birthday. She put Angel's name on the quilt too. I hope she stays with the quilting. I did help her with the pinning.

What a sweet girl you have there. She did a great job on the quilt. Thanks for sharing.

You know she will be a quilter if she is wanting to give her quilt away. It's a lovely quilt.

I hope she stays with it too. I always like to see kids interested in sewing, not much of that anymore. They would rather be on the phone or i pod.

Isn't that lovely that she is so unselfish that she will give her quilt away to her friend. Your Grandaughter must be a real blessing to you. Tell her hi! from England when your President is tonight!!!

That is sweet of her! Glad to hear the two of them did some work on it together. Maybe Angel has inspired yet another quilter. I love the quilt.
