I am very new to this site and quilting in general. Can someone please tell me what squishies and firmies are?

Wonderful gifts....How sweet...

I'm so pleased you like it Gai! That song was the 'party piece' of my Mum and her sister! They can still be persuaded to do it if you feed 'em enough wine first!

Re squishies and firmies - if you get a mix of the two, is it a 'squirmy'?!

BTW - Mum got punked at the weekend - she found an eyeball floating in her wine!

So Grandma got punked, huh?! Well, don't hold back, what did she do? Or had a little bird whispered to her first so she wouldn't have a heart attack! LOL

Well I wasn't there but I THINK, the way it was told, it hadn't been done completely surreptitiously so she knew something was up BUT she played the good granma and pretended to be shocked. She does this 'oooooohhargh' ending on a high pitched screech when shocked or surprised! It's really funny - I don't know if you knew Frankie Howerd (English comedy actor) but he made a similar noise.

PS - did you see the backing fabric of your quilt is little French coqs - blue ones as in 'Allez les Bleus'! :D

What a wonderful surprise, Gai. I LOVE that quilt! You quite deserve it, too! There are some pretty incredible people here, aren't there?
