A few years ago, I decided to make quilts for all of the adult children in our family and some of the adult grandchildren. I had only been quilting for a couple of years and most of them were simple quilts (turning twenty and four patch/nine patch and a few panel quilts).
These turned out to be very time consuming but was able to get about 8 of them done. Remember I am a self taught quilter who doesn't get to go to classes. They are a little too expensive for our budget. I did go to one retreat about 3 years ago. Here are some of my favorites.

    For Daughter Kim

For son Matthew and wife Steph (sorry not a better picture)

An LAQ friend quilted it in footballs

    For our daughter Celeste

    For our son Kevin

    Block centers

For son Lincoln and wonderful DIL Kay

For our deaf son, Billy, a huge Tampa Bay Fan. Center block says "GO BUCS" Go Team, Yeah Bucs

Thanks for looking. I don't often post pictures but thought I would try.

They are all so beautiful, you must be very proud. I wouldn't worry too much about the classes--yes, they are fun--but often times in the end, it is just you and that pattern in front of you!
