A few years ago, I decided to make quilts for all of the adult children in our family and some of the adult grandchildren. I had only been quilting for a couple of years and most of them were simple quilts (turning twenty and four patch/nine patch and a few panel quilts).
These turned out to be very time consuming but was able to get about 8 of them done. Remember I am a self taught quilter who doesn't get to go to classes. They are a little too expensive for our budget. I did go to one retreat about 3 years ago. Here are some of my favorites.

They are all so beautiful, you must be very proud. I wouldn't worry too much about the classes--yes, they are fun--but often times in the end, it is just you and that pattern in front of you!

They are gorgeous. Simple patterns seem to be the most effective, most graphic and oh so beautiful.

Bless your heart, as soon as I finish all those for the 18 grandchildren and the 4 great grandchildren, I will definitely put you on my list.

Beautiful quilts. You can learn more by actually sewing sometimes. I had made a few before my first class.

I may not do things the way a lot of quilters do and you notice I didn't give many close up pictures LOL. I love doing for others.
