The Tie Quilt is just lovely. When I saw it I thought "that looks really familiar!" The pattern is called Windmill and I'm making a quilt with that block in blues for a lady who wants a quilt for herself and her dog to cuddling up in. When I finish mine I'll post it. Good job on the tie quilt. I hear using ties can be pretty daunting. Is that something you found to be true? Thanks for sharing.

I just went back and looked very closely at your tie quilt again and had to come back and tell you how much I REALLY like your fabrics. The tie fabrics seem to have a "light within" that makes the fabric just shine and the colors pop. I love it. Let me know about working with ties...I would love to try making one but have heard the fabric ties are made of are slick and hard to handle and tearing the ties apart is a full time job?????

some of the silkier ones were. but i put lightweight fusible on all before i started cutting them out. it was fun when they came out of the big bag and put the colors together. i still have purples, gray, black, white to use up.
