Default "For Someone You Love"

I started this quilt about 3 weeks ago, using a free downloaded web bonus pattern from McCall's Quick Quilts. http://www.mccallsquilting.com/blogs...eone-you-love/

Not sure if it was me or the pattern, but got VERY lost and confused somewhere along the line and ended up with quite a mess, but after much frustration, tearing out, re-sewing, more tearing out and re-sewing, etc, I have finally arrived at the finished quilt top! YAY! That's all I can say at this point, other than I'm VERY happy I was able to complete this quilt top. I made the queen size, about 90" square. I'll be quilting it on my Janome 6600P. Maybe the different color combination is what messed me up, but I did find a mistake in the pattern, so if you download it, be very sure to check the layout page, as one of the blocks is not in the right place, or maybe not in the right position, or maybe not the right block at all for where it is located. In the center four blocks, the bottom right one labeled "E" upside down is not correct.

Anyway, here is my version of the quilt. Thanks for looking!

How frustrating. The quilt turned out lovely. Well done on sticking with it and finishing.

your quilt is very striking, I love it. You did a great job in choosing the colours as well. Thank you for sharing.

Your version is lovely! I can see how you could easily get the pieces mixed up.
