What do you store your small pieces, fat quarters and smaller sizes in? I need some ideas. I need some organization but it can be so overwhelming.

I have a couple of those 4-drawer rubbermaid type carts that I have my fat quarters and scraps in. The drawers are all the same depth and just barely perfect height for folded fats.

I invested some money in polar notions. They are plastic boards either in large and small. Go to www.polarnotions.com. Little pricey but I love the storage and I can use them over and over.

as well as the the draw units already mentioned, I have 2 totes to store my 1 1/2 inch strips. One for the lights and one for the darks. My leftover binding strips are stored in a large glass jar. I also have a DVD or CD storage cabinet that have fabric scraps (or you could use it for FQ). I bought both at yard sales, $5 and $7 each.

I found some boxes with lids covered in pretty paper at Michael's that I use for my fat quarters. They came in several different sizes and patterns and are just the right size for my shelves.

I use the "skirt" hangers with the clips on top. Clip like colors to the same hanger. I can easily flip through them in the closet.

I have them in the 'cube' storage shelves you can find in Walmart, Home Depot, etc. I used the comic book boards to fold them all to a uniform size and they fit just perfectly inside the 11-1/2" measurements.

I use clear plastic shoe boxes for my smaller pieces and label the boxes, blues & greens, pinks & reds, etc. May in Jersey
