Default Strawberry Lemonade quilt- Irish Chain

I finished this quilt a couple of weeks ago. There's over 50 pink prints. It was an attempt to use up my pink scraps. Barely made a dent in them. After cutting all the pink squares the plan was for a white background fabric. Normally I keep a bolt of white on hand because it's my go to background but all I had was buttery yellow. My life at the time was super busy, no time for shopping. So I took this as an opportunity to step outside my comfort zone. I still would have preferred the white background but I think it turned out kinda sweet. Thus the name..Strawberry Lemonade. It's one of my favorite summer drinks...with and without alcohol...LOL! Another step out of my comfort zone was the quilting. Mostly free motion with a little ruler work at the center of the yellow feather thingies. Amazing how quickly a quilt can be quilted with little or no ruler work.

I like the yellow and pink together and I like the quilting. The pink squares look like little circles from afar. It looks like you quilted circles in some of the pink squares. I like the way it looks.

Very nice quilt and quilting. I like the pale yellow and pink combo and Irish chain is a favorite of mine.

I really like the yellow and I am not a 'yellow person'. It is a gorgeous quilt.

Oh my goodness, it is SO pretty!!! The yellow and pink deserve the name Stawberry Lemonade. It made me one right now! Yum!
You have so many cute pink fabrics!
