Default Sun-Burnt Lonestar

I completed a very cheery Lonestar quilt the other day. I just love it. This is my second Lonestar (the first was much larger) and I made it a wall hanging size.

I took it to work and hung it on my wall above my desk. It was the perfect day for it too as we just got dumped with about 8 inches of snow and everyone was feeling the cold...it just brightened the place up.

I'm very pleased with the effect of the striping in the centre star...looks a bit spiral-y.

Thanks for looking!

oooooooohh how nice, YukViv!!
Your centre stripe is nice, just as the outer wavy gold/brown/rust is ... gives the sun ray effect.

Perfect colours/frabrics. And so nice you can have it at work for you and others to enjoy it's warmth year round, and especially amidst your latest snow dump!

(BTW I have the final BCS Clue!)

that is sure beautiful, and bet you live in a beautiful place. We do also (Crescent City, CA) but it is a 'different beauty' then where you are. Thanks for sharing the wonderful job you did on the star.

I too love the spiral effect your stripe in the center created. You did a great job with all of your fabric selections on this. I would have been afraid to try what you did but it works so well I am tempted to do another lonestar myself with selections like you have used. They are modern and vibrant and really add motion to your star. Great job!!
