Default A sweet quilt for a sweet niece

My niece is turning 8 on Sunday and this is our gift to her. Since DH and I have no children, I get to spoil my sister's . Out of all of my sister's kids, Kristie is the only one who has shown a real interest in sewing (carrying on the tradition!).

This pattern has been my stand-by lately; just a 9-patch with 2.5" squares, set on point. I quilted swirls and bound the quilt in a grey stripe cut on the bias. I have a bunch of blocks left, so I'm thinking I might have to make one for myself, I just love this fabric!
    Thanks for looking!

Cheerful quilt. I'm always amazed at how the simple patterns still make wonderful quilts. I can imagine her studying the different fabrics and the way you put it together and being inspired herself.

So pretty, love your quilting. 9 patches are great, you can do so many different things with them.

Pretty and I really like to use a soft yellow background as well. Peggy
