    here is a tutorial on what Shelly was talking about. Only sew the binding strips like she said on to the back side, but you can follow the rest of the instructions for the mitered corners.

    Thank you for the "directions" on binding. I like hand work but with the need for speed to get enough finished for Christmas, I was hoping to be able to machine stitch it.

    And once again you all come through with the help and hints. You are the BEST!
