table runner - 3 fq
#1
I picked this up as a kit at my LQS. The colors caught my eye as I thought they'd look good with my daughter's New-To-Her living room furniture. I also liked that it used 3 fat quarters for the top. The backing is part of a sheet I had left over from another project and I brought the backing around for the binding. (NO quilt police, right?)
She did love it - but for her coffee table, not her dining table. AND she'd like curtains out of the print perhaps with a border of the brown. That's job security for you!
Here you see it on MY coffee table and I'm thinking it looks pretty good! :)
THe print is from Moda's Park Avenue and, of course, the shop had only 3 yds and I think I need 5. Got 2 of the brown though so I'll see what I can do.
Furniture: her "new" furniture is hand-me-down from her mother-in-law. Daughter has been married 9 years and this is the third living room set her MIL has had in that time. How comfortable our house must seem with the same furniture for the last 14years - and most of that was inherited from MY MIL! :)
