I found this (17 inch wall hanging) stuffed into a bin at our local hospital auxiliary. I paid 25 cents for it. Shame that someone would just cast off such a beautiful piece of art. I'd like to think the spirit of the person who made it will be with me from now on. If she or he is anything like you all, I should be in good company.
    ;)

I'm glad you rescued it. I am amazed at what people will throw or donate or sell. I found a great wallhanging 24 X 36 with the rod to hang it up at our recycle center and I love it.

SO Glad your giving that piece a new home. I found a small "handsewn and quilted" wall piece about 18 x 24 for 35 cents at an "Antiques" store. It hangs proudly in my bedroom. Thanks so much for sharing.

That looks to me like the Eleanor Burns cross stitch quilt pattern. I purchased the book and have a basket of flowers ready to fuse and then sew. What a find!! Enjoy!

One persons trash is another persons treasure. And this is surely a treasure. =)

really cute, glad u got it. I was at antique store and there was a small quilt top made of all different pansy fabric, i took to owner and said how much? She actually blushed, oh that i made it, if u want it you can have it. I took it! it was cute.

This makes me sad - someone obviously put thought and time and love into this gift. It's just such a shame that it would be cast off like that.
