Thrift Store Finds-Singer 15 & Wood Ironing Board
#1
Got up this morning and had to run to the vet to get allergy medicine and thought I'd stop by a few thrift stores. 1st store I bought a couple of patterns for 50 cents. 2nd store I bought this Singer Model 15-90 (I think) for $25.00. Serial #AH003406 from 1947. Nice cabinet with even a knee motor control attached. Came with a bunch of attachments but no manual. Anyone has information on this machine I'd apprecitate it. 3rd store I stopped at on the way home I bought this oh so cute wooden ironing board for $20.00 and about 6 vintage aprons. Here's a few pics of the ironing board, but I'm not sure what company made it. I can't make it out on the top. Any info grateful. May take a minute for pics to load.

I have this exact machine! And I absolutely love it!! It sews through anything. And beautiful stitches. I told my dh this is a machine that if the day ever came I would have to replace it. Its a dream. Enjoy!!
And btw...you thread this from right to left.

WOW, looks like you had fun. Did a quick search on vintage wooden ironing boards, and found this blog with some very fun ideas so thought I'd post it, even though it doesn't help you with the maker of the board. Hope you don't mind.

We have an ironing board just like that down in the laundry roomo right now. My DH inherited it from his mom when he went to college in the 60's and we've used it ever since. Very sturdy, but a little low in height!

Thanks for the tip. I turned it on and the light works and when the knee control is pushed it goes up and down smoothly but I hadn't threaded it yet to check out the stitches.
